Tactile
what: graphic design, product design
client: Tactile
when: 2019
Present in many countries, Tactile is a group of agencies specializing in inclusive cultural mediation. In 2019 I was invited to think about a tactile table that could give people in different handicap situations the experience of touching/feeling the work CLOUDS (2009), from designers RONAN & ERWAN BOUROULLEC. Designed as a kind of organic structure, CLOUDS (2009) is a modular fabric system that can be constructed and deconstructed simply by manual manipulation of fittings and elastics, and can be used to separate atmospheres as well as a sculpture suspended in a room for example.
The tactile station envisaged for this project (whose shape is made up of triangles with reference to the design of the modules) is made up of a relief model in reduced size allowing the visitor to look at it or touch it. And to provide a complete sensory experience, two small sets of full-size modules will be made available to the visitor so that they can assemble and disassemble it. There would be also texts describing the project, its history as well as instructions on how to handle it.
